I’ll be honest: when the Floor Raiser Evolution arrived in EA SPORTS FC 26, I almost skipped it because free evos can be underwhelming. But after reading the requirements and seeing the chain potential, it became one of my favorite squad-building tools this year. The biggest hook is that it does not increase your card’s overall rating, so the upgraded player can slide straight into another evolution with a 95 OVR cap. That is rare, and it opens up some genuinely broken upgrade paths if you plan ahead.

Before you commit, make sure your card actually fits. The eligibility rules are not harsh, but one of them can catch you off guard:
-
Overall: Max 95
-
PlayStyles: Max 10
-
PlayStyles+: Max 4
-
Position: Not GK
That PlayStyles+ cap of four is the one I see people mess up. If your card already has five or more PlayStyles+, it is locked out even if everything else looks perfect. A 95-rated card can still qualify, which means some special cards that feel too good for a free evo are actually eligible. I tested the requirements on a few high-rated attackers from my club before settling on a pick.

The Floor Raiser upgrade path has three levels. Each one gives a different mix of stats and PlayStyles. I like that the boosts are focused instead of being a generic plus one everywhere. Here is the full breakdown:
| Level | Key Stat Boosts | PlayStyles Added |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Pace +2, Finishing +3, Positioning +3, Shot Power +3 | Low Driven Shot+ (PlayStyle+), Quick Step |
| 2 | Agility +2, Ball Control +2, Reactions +3, Short Passing +20, Skills +4 | None |
| 3 | Dribbling +2, Jumping +20, Stamina +3, Composure +3 | Finesse Shot, Technical |
That Short Passing +20 at Level 2 is the standout number for me. It turns a striker or attacking midfielder with average link-up play into someone who can actually feed runners and keep the attack flowing. Add Finesse Shot and Technical at Level 3, plus Low Driven Shot+ and Quick Step earlier, and you get a much more complete forward without changing the overall rating.
The unlock requirements are refreshingly simple. For each of the three levels, you just need to play one match in Squad Battles on at least Semi-Pro difficulty, or in Rush, Rivals, Champions, or Live Events with your active evo player. That is three matches total. I finished mine in one short session using Squad Battles. Just make sure you do not accidentally set the difficulty below Semi-Pro, because those matches will not count.

Now for the fun part: who to use. Since the shooting boosts hit first and the passing boost is massive, forwards and attacking midfielders are the obvious targets. I have been checking my club and the market for cards that can benefit without wasting the chain potential. Some of the best options right now include:
-
Mbappe Captains
-
Bale GOTG Icon
-
Maradona WTSS — requires a chain
-
Henry Winter Wildcards
-
Messi Time Warp
-
Mastantuono Showdown
-
Pfeiffer Ultimate Birthday
-
Palmer FC Fantasy — requires a chain
-
Ronaldinho Trophy Titans
-
Trossard Showdown
-
Kaka Trophy Titans
-
Paralluelo FC Fantasy
-
Zizo PTG
-
Lang Showdown
-
Amad PTG
-
Nusa Phenoms
-
Kubo PTG
-
Lukebakio PTG
The two that need a chain, Maradona WTSS and Palmer FC Fantasy, are not plug-and-play. They need a prior evo before their stats line up with what Floor Raiser improves. If you are already mid-chain on either one, this feels like a natural next step. I would not force a chain just to use them unless the final plan is clear.

The real value here is the chain planning. Most evolutions increase your card’s overall, which often locks it out of other lower-ceiling upgrades. Floor Raiser avoids that entirely. Your card comes out with better shooting, passing, dribbling, and three extra PlayStyles, but it stays at the same OVR it went in with. That means you can immediately feed it into another evolution that accepts up to 95-rated cards. If you are building toward a 96 or 97 OVR monster, this is one of the cleanest setups available in 2026.
I am also keeping an eye on the FC 26 Flying Dutchman Evolution for ST and CAM options that can pair with this chain, and the Left Behind Evolution if I want to improve my defensive pieces at the same time. Floor Raiser is not about instant overall inflation; it is about creating a card that can grow through multiple upgrade paths. If you have a forward or attacking mid with the right PlayStyles and an overall close to 95, this free evo is worth doing before you commit to any final chain.
